The Galley Workstation has quickly become the most used appliance in the kitchen. All meal preparation, cooking, serving, entertaining, and washing can be done using this fully functional Culinary System. By utilizing three tiers, you are able to layer Culinary Tools that slide above and below each other; positioning them in front of you when you need them and placing them underneath other Culinary Tools when not needed. Every task can be accomplished while working within the Workstation, not around it. All Culinary Tools can be kept in the system so they are ready to use when you are! Your kitchen will be ergonomic, efficient, clean, and so much more enjoyable.
The Galley is useful in every size and type of kitchen. The Galley is not a traditional kitchen sink where you lose work space. The Workstation maximizes space with three tiers of functional and ergonomic work space. The vertical, layered Galley system utilizes Cutting Boards, Drying Racks, Colanders, Mixing Bowls, and other tools to actually add work space to your kitchen. Our generously proportioned and thoughtfully engineered Culinary Tools enable you to perform every task inside of The Workstation, containing the mess within the system throughout the process.

The GalleyWorkstations product line includes Workstations, WashStations™, Work&WashStations, BarStations®, and HydroStations. You can add one or two DryDocks™ to all of these except the Hydrostation. There are over 700 possible combinations of models and configurations available. Custom options are also available upon request. Even though there are many options, choosing the right Galley(s) for your home is actually very easy.
The Galley DryDock is a 2” deep 12” or 18” extension that you can add to one or both sides of any Galley. It expands the functionality of your Galley Workstation without sacrificing cabinet space and allows you to “dock” your Culinary Tools away from the basin whenever you want.
Every Galley Basin is made from one piece of 316L Marine-grade Stainless Steel. A beautiful, custom Angel Finish is applied to every Basin. The Angel Finish was developed to soften the high reflectivity of standard Stainless Steel finishes and for easier maintenance. The finish resists water spots, hides light marks and scratches and is very easy to clean. The finish is also easily renewable back to a perfect factory finish! We offer three different Materials for our Culinary Tools: Graphite Wood Composite, Natural Golden Bamboo, and High Density Resin.
1/2″ Graphite Wood Composite – This is an eco-friendly and non-porous wood composite material. Certified by the National Sanitation Foundation (NSF) as safe for food preparation it is also heat resistant up to 350°F and dishwasher safe. Graphite is an excellent choice for indoor or outdoor Workstations.
3/4″ Natural Golden Bamboo – More dense than maple, bamboo is emerging as the top choice for chefs. It is dense enough to resist knife scarring and if conditioned appropriately, resists water penetration and letting bacteria find a place to form. Bamboo is green, renewable and eco-friendly. We hand-select the Bamboo to ensure only the most beautiful material is used for Culinary Tools.
5/8″ High Density Resin – Exclusive Gray and Designer White are made of commercial-grade, high-density resin, which is engineered for durability, low maintenance, and safety. The textured surface safely holds food in place without slipping. The resin does not absorb bacteria, splinter, chip, swell, peel, rot, warp, bend, or crack. Our resin is BPA Free and NSF Certified, heat resistant up to 180ºF and dishwasher safe. Both finishes are manufactured with UV stabilizers making them an excellent material for outdoor Workstations.
The Ideal Galley Kitchen Layout kitchen includes a 4ft-7ft Workstation in an island or peninsula outward facing with a cooktop on either or both sides. This creates the perfect preparation and cooking zones. We would recommend no more than 2-3 inches between the Workstation cutout and the adjoining cooktop. Locating a WashStation close by, ideally directly behind the Workstation, is incredibly useful. We recommend placing a dishwasher on either or both sides of the Washstation creating an ideal Wash Zone. The Wash Zone is typically on the wall, possibly under the window where the regular kitchen sink has traditionally gone. This is especially helpful to keep dirty pots, pans and dishes out of the primary Workstation when preparing and serving your meal. We refer to this setup as The Galley Lifestyle Kitchen Layout because we believe it offers a better way to prep, cook, serve, entertain, and clean within your kitchen, the heart of the home.
The cabinet size needed for The Workstation is listed in the model number that you selected. For example, the Ideal Workstation 5 (IWS-5) means that the cabinet dimension should be 5′ or 60″ in width.
Smaller Workstations and WashStations will fit into standard /available cabinets. Larger Workstations and Work and WashStations typically have cabinets that are made for The Galley Workstation.
Typically, it is installed by your contractor or whomever is installing your cabinetry. The Galley Workstation is installed into the cabinetry with a support or cleat system, (see product Installation Guide), and then the countertop is mounted on top. The Workstation does not get clipped to the countertop like a typical kitchen sink but rather goes into the cabinetry as an undermount sink. Proper installation is imperative for proper support and complete functionality, so we have included installation guides, cut-out dimensions, and countertop templates with every Galley.
Our Customer Service team is available to talk to installers and countertop fabricators anytime. We have a library of tools including videos to assist them with the proper installation of your Workstation.
The Galley Automatic Strainer Basket, Manual Strainer Basket or Garbage Disposal Flange with Basket do not come with the Workstation but can be easily added depending on your application. The Basket knob is produced with our Angel Finish to coordinate perfectly with the Workstation Basin. Every Galley does come with an Elevated Drain Cover standard.
Yes. The drain opening is the standard size for US drains. To confirm that your disposal will fit, check that its connecting flange will fit a 3-1/2” drain opening.
Absolutely. Whatever you can think of, we can probably do! Popular custom requests include apron-front Workstations, increased length (to fit perfectly into an existing cabinet), drop-in or top mount, 9” basin depth, and center drain. We can even do full Stainless Steel Worktops (counter tops)! Have another idea? Try us!
Yes, and the list of options available to enhance your Galley experience is always growing! For example, the Dual-tier Condiment Serving Board can turn The Galley into a super efficient preparation station or a wonderful buffet for entertaining. Do you like chopping above the countertop? If so, the 2″ thick Chef’s Block or any of our Upper Deck’s™ are for you. If you prefer to soak dishes and hand-wash we also have a Wash Basin that has a removable plug so no need to fill a 7’ Galley Workstation with soapy water, you can pop in this Optional Tool.

The Galley Workstation meets all plumbing code specifications, including UPC and cUPC.
Stainless Steel products will always scratch from use, but no need to worry as scratches can be prevented or removed on The Galley. To prevent scratches, we always recommend purchasing a complete Galley Bottom Grate Set. They are made exclusively for Galley Workstations and will protect the bottom of your basin. If scratches do occur, the Galley’s unique Angel Finish is renewable back to factory condition! Galley Basins are manufactured with passivated 316L marine-grade stainless steel, which makes this material both stain and corrosion-resistant. In the event that the passivated layer is damaged, it is unlikely but possible that rust can be transferred to the surface from another metal. If the Basin is installed outdoors in a salt-water environment and not cleaned frequently, in addition to the protective layer being damaged, rust may appear. Rust transfer is derived from a contaminated metal on the Basin surface or from another metal being in contact with the Basin below the counter.
If surface corrosion (rust) appears, we recommend cleaning the affected area(s) with citrine® stainless steel clean + polish using a microfiber cloth or a non-abrasive sponge. We provide a Limited Lifetime Warranty for the tiered Stainless Steel Basin. See the Warranty for more specific information. The Culinary Tools are not warrantied and are designed to last for many years with the proper care. All of our standard Workstations are in stock, so depending on where you live, you should receive yours within seven to ten days of placing your order with your Authorized Galley Dealer or Designer. For custom Workstations, please allow five to six weeks from the time you place your order.
